Jan is an Innovation Manager at Taylor Woodrow. He is currently the innovation lead on the HS2 Old Oak Common Station, applying innovative solutions for what will be the largest new build station in the UK for over 100 years. He has worked for major contractors: Costain, Skanska and is now in his second spell with Taylor Woodrow. Jan is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and has spent most of his career working in business improvement roles in building, infrastructure and utilities. He project managed two UK government funded research projects that were at the forefront of the deployment of lean thinking in the construction industry. More recently he led a consortium that helped develop the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI) training programme. In the VINCI Innovation Leaders group he is involved in trialling robotics, lifting drones and AI enabled software, moving them from prototype to business as usual.
