For 20 years I’ve worked in Sustainability for the transport sector. I currently work in the West Alliance on the multibillion pound Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) rail construction project, looking to leave a low carbon legacy. Previous experience includes working on the original hydrogen and hybrid bus projects at TfL and implementing what is believed to be the first UK ISO 50001 certified system at Northern Rail. I have also led the Sustainability teams and created the companywide sustainability strategies for both Virgin Trains and Avanti West Coast.
